The U.S. Bishops announced plans to consecrate the nation to the Sacred Heart of Jesus in June 2026.

Both saints are presented as examples of Christian discipleship, especially for young people.

More than 3,000 people participated in a Eucharistic procession that made its way through the cathedral plaza.
