Bingo

COLUMBUS
St. Jerome Parish with the Knights of Columbus Council #1609 hosts bingo on the second Saturday of each month in the school gym, located at 1550 Farnham St., Columbus. Doors open at 5 p.m.  Bingo starts at 6 p.m.

SUN PRAIRIE
Knights of Columbus Council #4879 hosts bingo every Monday, except on major holidays, at The Round Table, 1611 N. Bristol St., Sun Prairie. Doors open at 4:15 p.m. The kitchen and bar are open from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Bingo starts at 6:30 p.m.

Dinner

BOSCOBEL
Immaculate Conception Church, part of Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament Parish, 405 E. LeGrand St., Boscobel, will host its 69th annual chicken BBQ event on Saturday, Sept. 20, from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a bean tournament, petting zoo, fishing pond, and face painting for kids. There will also be meat paddles, a 50/50 raffle, pull tabs, and free bingo for adults.

Festivals

BELOIT
Queen of Martyrs Community Celebration will take place on Sunday, Aug. 16, at Tefler Park, 2101 Cranston Rd., Beloit. It will be a full day of food, kids’ games, music, and fun.

MADISON
Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish’s Summer Festival takes place on Sunday, Aug. 9, from 12 noon to 10 p.m. at St. Joseph Church, 1905 W. Beltline Hwy., Madison. 
Enjoy Mexican fare, live Mexican music, traditional Mexican folk dance, dance workout, and kids’ games.

The Epiphany of the Lord Parish Church Festival will be held at St. Mary of the Nativity Church, 120 S. MCFARLAND
Experience a taste of the Encounter School of Ministry at its Summer Intensive, from Monday, Aug. 3, to Thursday, Aug. 6, from 6 to 9 p.m., at Christ the King Church, 5306 Main St., McFarland.
This transformative four-evening event introduces participants to foundational teachings on Kingdom identity, healing, prophecy, and inner healing through dynamic teaching, prayer, and practical ministry experiences. MADISON

The St. James Church Picnic will take place on Sunday, Aug. 9, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., at 315 N. Main St., Neshkoro. There will be food, games, raffles, and live entertainment.

The St. John the Baptist Church Picnic will take place on Sunday, Aug. 16, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 1211 W. Main St., Princeton. There will be food, a bags tournament, games, and more.

WATERTOWN
The St. Thérèse of Lisieux Parish Picnic will take place on Sunday, Aug. 16, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the St. Henry Church grounds, 300 E. Cady St., Watertown. The day will include raffles, live music, bingo, a bags tournament, and food.

Durward’s Glen

BARABOO
Durward’s Glen, W11876 McLeisch Rd., Baraboo, is available to rent for retreats.
The chapel is open to the public from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday.
The grounds and trails are open from dawn to dusk daily.
The Rosary is prayed at 7:35 a.m. on Tuesdays, followed by Mass at 8 a.m.
Join in after Mass for Bible study, coffee, and refreshments.

• From Sunday, Aug. 16, to Tuesday, Aug. 18, Fr. Edward Looney from the Diocese of Green Bay, an expert on Mary’s Assumption, will teach us, encourage us, hear Confessions, and bring us Jesus in the Mass. There will also be time for Adoration.
• On Saturday, Aug. 29, Fr. Miguel Galvez, SJS, from Mary, Mother of Mercy Pastorate, and Paul and Carol Quist will teach and lead discussions on the human person and God’s plan for marriage and sexuality. Mass and Confession will also be offered.
