Meet the 2026 Totus Tuus teams

Totus Tuus is a summer Catholic youth program dedicated to sharing the Gospel and promoting the Catholic Faith through evangelization, catechesis, Christian witness, and Eucharistic worship.

The week-long parish summer catechetical program and summer camps assist parents and parishes in the evangelizing and catechizing of their youth, supplementing the work they are already doing.

This year’s Totus Tuus teams in the Diocese of Madison are hard at work preparing to go on the road and serve the youth of southern Wisconsin. This year, our teams will serve in the Diocese of  Madison, Diocese of La Crosse, and the Archdiocese of Milwaukee.

Here are this year’s team members.

Jovi Borland
I never expected to fall in love with Catholicism — but here I am!

I grew up in a small town in Minnesota, homeschooled, and was a Protestant pastor’s kid. In 2023, my dad resigned from our church, and our family began exploring Catholicism.

At first I was hesitant, but as I learned more, I quickly fell in love with the Faith and was joyfully welcomed into the Catholic Church in 2024.

I’m beyond excited to share my Faith and enthusiasm for Christ as a Totus Tuus missionary this summer!

Francesca Cangelosi
Hello! My name is Francesca Cangelosi, and I am a rising senior at Franciscan University of Steubenville studying theology.

Missionary work and teaching the Faith are very important to me, and through these experiences, the Lord has shown me that the heart of ministry is encounter!

We must always reaffirm the dignity of another by looking at them and  listening to them.

I look forward to seeing you, serving you, and hearing your story!

Claire Chodorowski
My name is Claire Chodorowski. I’m from the Diocese of Madison, and I’m super excited to be serving with Totus Tuus!

I will be attending Franciscan University of Steubenville in the fall to study theology.

I have experienced the joy and love of the Lord in my life, and I have a passion for sharing that with young  people in any way I can!

Michael Milbrath
I just finished my sophomore year studying math and theology at the University of Dallas.

As an American college student, especially after studying abroad, I love getting to see and experience the world, its history, and its people.

As a practicing Catholic, not only is my life shaped by the sacraments and my prayer life, but I get to see the world centered around Christ.

Dominic Pavey
My name is Dominic Pavey. I am a seminarian for the Archdiocese of Indianapolis, and I am entering my third year of seminary at Bishop Simon Bruté College Seminary in Indianapolis, Ind.

I am studying philosophy at Marian University, Indianapolis.

I was raised Catholic, and I felt God calling me to enter seminary in high school, through vocation events and Eucharistic Adoration.

I am looking forward to working with all the wonderful people I continue to meet.

Miriam Runde
Hi! My name is Miriam Runde. I’m from Kieler, and I’m the oldest of a home-schooled family of six kids.

This fall I’ll be a sophomore at UW-Platteville, where I’m pursuing an English degree.

As a kid, attending Totus Tuus and seeing all the missionaries with their hearts for service and their deep love of Jesus and Mary was a huge influence on my own Faith, and I’m so excited to be able to serve so many other youth this summer!

Cade Statz
My name is Cade Statz, and I am a seminarian for the Diocese of La Crosse.

I attended Catholic schools all my life, and now I am in school at St. Mary’s University in Winona, Minn.

The Catholic Faith has fully transformed my life since high school, and my goal is to one day become a priest for Jesus Christ.

Benjamin Varela
My name is Benjamin Varela. I just finished my freshman year at UW-Platteville.

Surrounded by devoted students in the Newman Center, I felt the Lord inviting me into a deeper, more intentional Christian life.

Paired with a longtime desire to teach, that call led me to Totus Tuus.

I’m excited to grow individually and help plant and cultivate seeds in others.
