Sr. Timothy Geenen, dies

Sr. Timothy (Anna Mae Catherine) Geenen entered Eternal Life on Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2026 at Autumn Lake Healthcare, Beloit, Wis.

She was born in Freedom, Wis., on July 7, 1927, the seventh child of the late Henry R. and Gladys (McCormick) Geenen.

Sister Timothy took Religious Vows on August 15, 1946 with the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity, Manitowoc. She changed her community affiliation to the Franciscan Sisters of Our Lady on December 8, 1981.

Sister Timothy served as a teacher in the Diocese of Green Bay at: Saint Joseph, Green Bay; Saint Joseph, Sturgeon Bay; Holy Innocents, Manitowoc; Saints Peter and Paul, Kiel; Saint Therese, Appleton; Saint Pius X, Appleton; Saint Gabriel, Neenah; Saint Aloysius, Kaukauna. In the Archdiocese of Milwaukee: Saint Mary, Waukesha; Saint Augustine, West Allis. In the Diocese of Steubenville, Ohio: Saint Nicholas, Zanesville.

Sister Timothy is survived by her one sister, Sister Rosemarie, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, colleagues, and friends.

The Visitation of Remembrance for Sister Timothy will be held from 4 p.m. until 7 pm on Monday, Sept. 28, 2026 at Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Rd., Beloit, Wis., with a Rosary for family and friends to be recited at 3:45 p.m. Prior to the Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2026 in Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, 2222 Shopiere Rd., Beloit, Wis., a visitation will also be held for family and friends from 10 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Burial will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2026 in Saint Nicholas Cemetery, Freedom, Wis.
