Priest appointments announced

Fr. Tait Schroeder, Vicar General, announces the following priest appointments made by Most Reverend Donald J. Hying, Bishop of Madison, effective Wednesday, July 1, 2026, unless otherwise noted, and announced Saturday and Sunday, April 11 and 12, 2026:

  • Rev. Fr. Carlos Reinoso, SJS, from Pastor of Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament Parish to ministry in the Diocese of Daule, Ecuador, with the Society of Jesus Christ the Priest, effective May 4, 2026.
  • Rev. Fr. Christopher Padilla, SJS, from Parochial Vicar of Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament Parish to Pastor of Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament Parish, effective May 4, 2026.
  • Rev. Fr. Osvaldo Briones, SJS, from Parochial Vicar of Mary, Mother of Mercy Pastorate and Hispanic Ministry Chaplain at St. Thomas Aquinas Parish to Parochial Vicar of Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament Parish.
  • Rev. Fr. Faustino Ruiz, SJS, to Parochial Vicar of Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament Parish while continuing as Local Superior for the Society of Jesus Christ the Priest and Chaplain for Courage and EnCourage.
  • Rev. Mr. Casey Cooney, to Parochial Vicar of Sts. Joachim and Anne Pastorate following upon his expected priestly ordination occurring on May 22, 2026.
  • Rev. Luke Powers, from Parochial Vicar of St. John Paul II Pastorate to advanced studies in Canon Law at The Catholic University of America, Washington, D.C., while serving as Chaplain at Camp Gray during his summer breaks.
