CDMF funds make a charitable impact

The Catholic Diocese of Madison Foundation (CDMF) is always working to expand philanthropic support for Catholic parishes, schools, and other non-profit ministries and organizations across the Diocese of Madison.

We do this by working with donors to establish specifically purposed funds and by increasing support for funds already established at the foundation.

Funds at the CDMF are started by a wide variety of donors, from parishes and schools to individuals interested in setting up a charitable legacy of giving.

The CDMF has been working with a renewed focus to bring new funds into the foundation family while also strengthening our currently existing funds.

We would like to highlight some of our most recently added funds and give a few examples of how donors are expanding the impact of their giving across the diocese.

Expanding the impact

One of our most recently added funds is the Catholic Diocese of Madison Education Fund.

This fund will provide support for Catholic education in the diocese and is the fruit of collaboration and discussions between the Diocese of Madison and the CDMF.

Meantime, in the heart of our diocese, there has been a lot of work done recently to prepare St. Bernard Church on Atwood Ave. in Madison as the diocese’s newly designated cathedral.

Thanks to a generous donation from a long-time St. Bernard parishioner, the cathedral has an endowed fund to help with current and future needs.

The endowment fund for the Cathedral of St. Bernard of Clairvaux will provide financial support for the annual operating expenses of the Cathedral and its related facilities, programs, and endeavors both now and into the future.

Another fund that is going to make an impact soon is the Catholic Charities Non-Endowed Fund.

This fund was started to provide financial assistance for Catholic Charities of Madison to advance their mission, vision, and values.

This fund is a great addition to the CDMF family as we continue to help enhance the ability of local non-profits to serve the community.

This is just a sampling of the many funds that the CDMF holds, which serve a variety of important needs across the diocese, and are great examples of how organizations and individuals who want to make a difference can start funds for the greater good.

Be a supporter

We’d like to extend a very sincere and heartfelt thank you to the generous supporters who make all of this work possible.

Also, consider asking your parish priest if he has thought about the CDMF as an option for starting an endowment or non-endowed fund.

We would be happy to help in any way possible as we work together to serve Christ and His Church.

If you are interested in starting an endowment fund of your own, visit diocese madisonfoundation.org or give us a call at 608-821-3048.
