Since June of this past summer, I have been experiencing a very odd phenomenon. Weekly, if not daily, parents of middle and high school students that I work with make a point to stop by my office, send me e-mails, or chat with me at local sporting events.

The Sun Prairie Knights of Columbus Council is observing its 50th anniversary. It was founded on December 6, 1959, through the efforts of District Deputy Jerome Weisensel.
Msgr. Bartylla named Serra Chaplain of the Year
The USA Council of Serra International recently announced that Msgr. James Bartylla has been named Serra Chaplain of the Year for 2009 for Region 7.
Bishops respond to contraception provision
Wisconsin’s bishops have called a provision in the recently enacted state budget that mandates health insurance policies cover contraceptive services as “blatantly insensitive” to the moral values of Catholics. The bishops commented on the provision in a letter to Catholics. The letter is being distributed to the state’s diocesan newspapers.
