CAMPBELLSPORT — School Sister of St. Francis Carolann Ripperger (Felixina) died January 16, 2009, at St. Joseph Convent in Campbellsport. She was born September 21, 1904, in Bauer, Iowa. She was received into the School Sisters of St. Francis June 24, 1920, and made first profession of vows July 2, 1924, and final (perpetual) vows August 19, 1930.
Sister Carolann lived her religious ministry as a homemaker in Illinois, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Missouri, and Minnesota. In the Diocese of Madison, Sister Carolann served as a homemaker at St. John the Baptist Convent in Muscoda (1931-1933), at St. Martin Convent in Martinsville (1933-1935), and at Immaculate Conception Convent in Kieler (1941-1942).
A wake and funeral Mass took place on January 21 at St. Joseph Convent in Campbellsport. Burial was at Sisters’ Cemetery in Campbellsport.
