MADISON — If anyone has taken a stroll down State St. in the past two months, one will notice a vast difference at 723 State St. The old St. Paul University Catholic Center has been dismantled to make way for the construction of the larger, new St. Paul’s Church and Student Center!
While each year has brought changes and new faces to the primarily student-based center, the heart of the mission remains consistent: providing frequent sacraments and many programs designed to engage the hearts and minds of students, build authentic community, and foster a friendship with Christ that provides a foundation for a lifetime of discipleship.
Supporting the mission
Whether one has stepped foot in St. Paul’s or not, this is a mission that many alumni and faithful Catholics from our Diocese of Madison and beyond support as an effective apostolate with an impact far beyond the UW campus.
It is through sacraments, strong community, and authentic Catholic formation that young people can be transformed into the types of Catholic leaders our world and Church need in the modern era.
To celebrate this new era of campus ministry at UW-Madison, you are invited to St. Paul’s Spring Wine Fest on Friday, May 6.
In its seventh year, the Spring Wine Fest continues to draw together well over 400 benefactors, alumni, parents of students, and friends of St. Paul’s to enjoy an evening that highlights the impact and future of Catholic campus ministry at UW-Madison.
As St. Paul’s outreach on campus continues to spread to more of the 10,000 estimated Catholics among the larger population of 43,000 students, St. Paul’s hopes that interested Catholics across our diocese will enjoy a truly special evening.
