MADISON — As warmer spring weather approaches, Catholics across the Diocese of Madison are invited to the fifth annual Spring Wine Fest, benefitting the mission of St. Paul University Catholic Center.
St. Paul’s continues to grow its mission and outreach to thousands of Catholic and non-Catholic students who come to UW-Madison from across the diocese and state.
Impact of St. Paul’s mission
This mission, one of the largest in the diocese, impacts over 1,000 students weekly on campus through sacraments, dozens of weekly small group Bible studies, retreats, local and national service opportunities, peer mentoring, and much more.
As these students graduate, the impact they have on the local diocesan communities can be seen in myriad ways through their vocations to the priesthood, religious life, or marriage; in their service to their parish communities; and the witness as faithful Catholics in the workplace.

The Spring Wine Fest, first held in 2010, has brought together many who are part of the vast community of friends, alumni, and parents whose support makes possible the growth and outreach of St. Paul’s mission to university students.
Together with many sponsors — including 2014 Diamond Sponsor Saint Jude Hospice and 2014 Platinum Sponsors CG Schmidt, Diocese of Madison, Endres Manufacturing, Karben4 Brewing, and Joe Pometto of Modern Woodmen Fraternal Financial — the Spring Wine Fest has grown to be a highly anticipated and memorable evening.
Whether you’ve been a friend of the St. Paul’s community for years or have more recently learned about this important mission, you’re invited to take part in this joyful event on Friday, May 2, at the Concourse Hotel.
With your fellow guests, enjoy sampling any of 10 internationally sourced wines and four brews from local Karben4 Brewing, served by some of the many inspiring university students who are being formed through sacraments and programs at St. Paul’s.
A tasting card with descriptions of all wines and brews offered in the program offers a fun way for guests to add to their knowledge of the fruits of the earth and note their favorites to enjoy in the future.
Open seating during dinner service continues the social and energetic atmosphere. A brief program featuring the testimony of one of the many current students impacted by this mission is the capstone of this highly enjoyable evening.
Tickets are $50 per person and there is a great special rate of $150 for a package of four tickets, so take advantage by inviting a few friends and join many supporters of this impactful and growing mission at the Spring Wine Fest on Friday, May 2!
