MADISON — Megan Wedwick has been named the new co-director of the Apostolate for Persons with Disabilities-Diocese of Madison.
She will oversee the administration of the Apostolate along with longtime director Msgr. Larry Bakke.
Wedwick most recently worked at Blessed Sacrament Parish in Madison as its pastoral associate. Prior to that, she worked at Catholic Charities of Madison in its developmental disabilities program.
She called her new opportunity “very exciting,” adding that “the Apostolate has done so much and there’s so much we can do”.
Wedwick fills a position in the Apostolate following former Associate Director Deacon Jim Hoegemeier leaving to take on a full-time parish role in the Diocese of Green Bay.
Monsignor Bakke said he’s looking forward to the “new possibilities of how the Apostolate can be a better service” to the Diocese of Madison.
