WAUNAKEE — November 15 marked the 50th day of school for students at St. John the Baptist School in Waunakee.
Students in kindergarten through third grade, staff, and parent volunteers celebrated by having some 1950s fun.
Activities included the limbo, hula-hooping, blowing bubble gum bubbles, and making root beer float craft projects which were later followed by real root beer floats.
The students dressed in ’50s style clothes: the boys in white T-shirts, blue jeans, and leather jackets, while the girls were in poodle skirts with pony tails in their hair.
The fun was had with classic 1950s tunes playing which later resulted in the students having an impromptu sock hop as they danced.
