MADISON— Vigil for Life will host “Empty Manger” caroling on the sidewalk outside Planned Parenthood at 3706 Orin Rd. in Madison on Thursday, Dec. 23, from 5 to 6 p.m.
While awaiting Christ’s birth on Christmas Day, Vigil for Life hopes to help bring joy and an awareness of the wonder of the unborn child to Planned Parenthood.
Join Vigil for Life as it points to the “empty manger” not yet filled with the Christ, which reminds us of the many empty “mangers” in the hearts of post-abortive men and women.
Fr. Rick Heilman and the Knights of Divine Mercy Schola will likely join the group in song and prayer. Caroling song sheets will be provided.
Bring a flashlight and wear weather-appropriate clothing. To provide a small manger, or to obtain more information, contact Laura Karlen at 608-445-2064 or laura@vigilforlife.org
Volunteers are also needed for Vigil for Life’s “365 for Life” initiative. Individuals and groups are needed to sign up for two-hour shifts on a monthly basis, according to the following schedule: Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, from 9 to 11 a.m., and Thursdays and Fridays, from 1 to 3 p.m.
Also, volunteers are needed to make calls to Vigil for Life participants to invite them to join the “365 for Life” initiative. Contact Laura Karlen at 608-445-2064, or at laura@vigilforlife.org
