From the Office of the Bishop
Members of the Diocese of Madison are asked to continue their prayers for the health of Bishop Robert C. Morlino, which continues to get better each day.
As many people have been made aware, the bishop has been strongly encouraged to medical rest by his doctors, following his diagnosis in recent weeks with an irregular heartbeat (cardiac arrhythmia).
Given his heart history and the possibility of this slight problem evolving into something worse, they have asked him to take this short period of rest. God willing, the bishop’s heart situation will regularize and he’ll be back, fully in action, soon.
There is no need to worry about this situation, but simply keep bishop in your prayers. Similarly, if you hear of any false rumors, that he is worse off than he is, please assist in dispelling them, assuring everyone not to worry.
The bishop has been saying Masses and offering his prayers for all the people of the diocese during this time, and especially for the priests of our diocese, as we begin the “Year for Priests.”
