St. Dennis Parish sponsors grief support series
MADISON — St. Dennis Parish, 505 Dempsey Rd., will host a four week “Moving Through Grief” series on Wednesday evenings, April 8, 15, 22, and 29. A group reunion will be held on Wednesday, May 13.
Sessions facilitated by the St. Dennis grief ministry team include presentations, prayer, small group discussion, handouts, and refreshments.
Faith Stories in Stoughton
STOUGHTON — Each month, parishioners share their “Faith Stories” at St. Ann Church in Msgr. Healy Hall, 323 N. Van Buren St.
On Thursday, March 26, at 6:30 p.m., Pastor Fr. Randy Budnar will share how God is and has been important in his life.
Bloomington St. Mary Parish variety show
BLOOMINGTON — “Remembering the ‘Classic TV’ Shows” is the theme of St. Mary Parish variety show performances which will take place at St. Mary School gym, 535 Congress St., on Sunday, March 22, at 1 p.m.
St. Mary’s Parish Players have been busy recreating some of the characters from the Mayberry TV series. Other performances will feature the St. Mary’s “Sisters” group; the White family; the River Ridge Dance team; and skits, musical, and dance performances.
Divine Mercy Day of Reflection to be held in Lancaster
LANCASTER — St. Clement Parish will host a Divine Mercy Day of Reflection on Saturday, March 28. Dr. Bryan Thatcher and Annie Karto, from the Eucharistic Apostles of the Divine Mercy (EADM), will be the featured speakers.
The day will begin with Mass at 8:15 a.m. followed by registration at 8:45 a.m. and the program from 9:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
The program is an opportunity to learn more about Divine Mercy and the Eucharist.
Organ dedication at Doylestown parish
DOYLESTOWN — St. Patrick Parish in Doylestown was given a pipe organ from the Monroe Clinic when the clinic built a new chapel in the hospital.
The dedication of that organ will be held at an 11 a.m. Mass on Sunday, March 15, at St. Patrick Church, followed by a brief concert.
Movie to be shown as benefit for care center
BARABOO — The highly acclaimed movie God’s Not Dead will be showing at the historic Al Ringling Theatre, 136 4th Ave., on the square in downtown Baraboo, on Sunday, March 22, at 3 p.m.
It is being sponsored by the SALT (Salt and Light Together) Ministry of St. Joseph Parish in Baraboo and is open to the public.
Lenten service project to help children overseas
ASHTON — In the Republic of Sierra Leona in West Africa, you would see the faces of children and families affected by the Ebola outbreak. If you look closer, you’ll also see “the face of Jesus in every child.”
That’s the message of Savior of the World — a children’s center that provides aid and a witness to the Gospel to orphaned and needy children in Sierra Leone.
The parish community at St. Peter in Ashton and St. Martin of Tours in Martinsville, including the religious education program, school, and other parishioners, are working this Lent to help support Savior of the World.
Mass commemorates death of Venerable Samuel Mazzuchelli
BENTON — The annual Mass to commemorate the death of Venerable Samuel Mazzuchelli, OP, will be held at St. Patrick Church, Benton, on Sunday, Feb. 22, at 1:30 p.m.
The Mazzuchelli Assembly 4th Degree Knights of Columbus invite everyone to attend and join them for a social in the parish hall afterward.
