DANE — On Saturday, Sept. 14, pro-life Americans throughout the country will gather at the gravesites of aborted babies and other memorial sites dedicated in their honor for the seventh annual National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children.
Solemn vigils will be held at these sites to commemorate the more than 60 million children who have lost their lives to legal abortion since 1973, and to remind our society of the humanity of the unborn child.Tag: remembrance

DANE — The National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children will be held on Saturday, Sept. 9.
People are invited to join Vigil for Life for a Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Michael Church, 109 S. Military Rd. in Dane. After Mass, people will process out to the gravesite of the aborted baby who was named Malachai for a brief memorial.

Service of Remembrance to be held in Evansville
EVANSVILLE — St. Paul Parish in Evansville will hold an ecumenical Service of Remembrance on Sunday, Dec. 15, at 7 p.m. at St. Paul Church on the corner of First St. and Garfield Ave.
The service is intended for people of all faiths who wish to remember, honor, and celebrate their loved ones who have passed away. It will include readings, music, prayer, quiet reflection, and a candlelight ceremony to recall each person loved and honored this season. The service will be led by Rev. Luke Bocher, pastor of the Congregational United Church of Christ in Evansville.
Lighting candles for bereaved families
Joining memorial services around the world on Sunday, Dec. 13, people in Madison and Evansville will hold candle lighting services in conjunction with the Compassionate Friends, an international self-help support organization for families grieving the death of a child.
