Fr. Bernard Deitelhoff, a pastor emeritus of the Diocese of Madison, died June 19, 2012 at the age of 80 at his residence in Madison.
MONROE — Bishop Robert C. Morlino blessed the new chapel and altar of Monroe Clinic’s hospital in Monroe on March 29. In the context of Mass, Bishop Morlino blessed the chapel altar and space to God, for whose mission the chapel and hospital are dedicated to serve.
On Saturday, Dec. 3, despite the rainy weather outside, a beautiful time of sharing, celebrating, and entertaining took place at the Apostolate to the Handicapped’s annual Christmas Mass and dinner party held at Monroe High School.

MONROE — Although he wasn’t there in person, Msgr. Thomas F. Campion was certainly there in spirit — and in the minds and hearts of so many of the disabled and elderly guests and the many volunteers at the annual Apostolate to the Handicapped Christmas Mass and Party held on Saturday, Dec. 4, at the Monroe High School gymnasium.
MADISON — Bishop George O. Wirz, retired auxiliary bishop of the Diocese of Madison and native of Monroe, died Tuesday, Nov. 23, at his residence at the Bishop O’Connor Catholic Pastoral Center.
MONROE — Msgr. Thomas F. Campion, 79, director of the Madison Diocese Apostolate to the Handicapped, died Friday, Nov. 12, 2010, at his home.

ALBANY/BRODHEAD/MONROE — Tom LaPointe, a parishioner of St. Patrick Parish, Albany, returned from Haiti on December 22, 2009, after a two-week trip there. He had brought with him tools and soccer balls to share with the people.
