WISCONSIN DELLS — At the beginning of February, approximately 350 high school teens and chaperones gathered together at the Kalahari in the Wisconsin Dells to attend the 21st annual “Frassati Fest.”
This youth gathering is named after Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati, who was from Italy and died at a young age. He is the patron of this event.
This annual retreat offers a place for teens to encounter Jesus Christ and grow in faith and friendship with Catholic teens from all across the Diocese of Madison.
To the left of the main stage at Frassati Fest, there was a photo booth.
The more than 400 participants, leaders, and guests, could wear silly costume accessories, hold flags, or hold each other, and get their pictures taken for later memory and social media use.
WISCONSIN DELLS — High school youth in the Diocese of Madison are invited to attend Frassati Fest February 2-4, 2018, at the Kalahari Resort in Wisconsin Dells.
Frassati Fest is the coolest weekend around for Catholic high school students in the Diocese of Madison. Our planning team has been hard at work planning this year’s event: PURSUIT.
“Lord, please help us all to have a great day. Open to the Lord, open to making new friends, and just open to have some fun.”
This story could be all about water slides, but it isn’t.
Ask any teen who attends Frassati Fest every year. They will tell you one of the most memorable parts of the weekend is the water park, but there’s more — so much more.
WISCONSIN DELLS — The annual Frassati Fest weekend for teens is set for Friday, Feb. 5, to Sunday, Feb. 7, at Kalahari Resorts and Conventions in Wisconsin Dells.
Frassati Fest provides inspiring catechesis, prayer, good conversation, and an opportunity for teens to dive deeper into the beauty of the Catholic faith with hundreds of their peers.
It’s called “the coolest weekend around for Catholic high school students in the Diocese of Madison.”
“I’ve never known anyone who’s gone to Frassati Fest and hasn’t had a good time.”
That’s how youth minister Andy Schindhelm from Blessed Trinity Parish in Lodi and Dane sums up the “coolest weekend around for Catholic High School students in the Diocese of Madison.”
During Super Bowl weekend, hundreds of people escaped the cold temperatures and snowy roads to enjoy the warm and fun comforts of the Kalahari resort and convention center in Wisconsin Dells.
WISCONSIN DELLS — Ask an average high school student about the level of stress they face in their lives, and he or she would have a lot to say.
Teens may be stressed about finals approaching, drama with friends, problems within the family, or how much pressure there is to live up to the expectations of coaches, teachers, and the world.
Young people in their teenage years are supposed to be joyful, optimistic, full of plans for the future, and whether or not they appreciate hearing it, still kids.
