Our Lady of the Assumption Parish in Beloit to hold ‘retooled’ Fall Festival
BELOIT — Change seems to be one word often used when dealing with events during pandemic in 2020.
At Our Lady of the Assumption (OLA) Parish, the annual Fall Festival on Sunday, Sept. 27, was retooled by committee members to conform with safety protocols that have been put into practice on the entire church campus.
Summer Festival begins with bilingual Mass
MADISON — Beginning with a bilingual Mass at 10:45 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 11, at St. Joseph Church, 1905 W. Beltline Hwy., the annual Good Shepherd Summer Festival will continue until 9 p.m. with a variety of food, entertainment, music, and fun for the whole family.
Offering a mix of American and Latino food, food sales start at 12 noon with beans and rice, hamburgers and hot dogs, steak and pork tacos, and more. Annual parish festival in Lake Mills
LAKE MILLS — St. Gabriel the Archangel Parish/St. Francis Xavier Church in Lake Mills will hold its annual turkey festival on Sunday, July 15, from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., at 608 College St. in Lake Mills.
Dinner and carry outs will be served from 11 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.

St. Dennis Parish holds festival
MADISON — All are invited to the 61st annual St. Dennis Parish Festival. The festival has fun for all ages and is open to the public. The festival begins at 5 p.m. Friday, July 28, and ends at 6 p.m. Sunday, July 30, at 409 Dempsey Rd.
The festival includes live bands, children’s games, 5K road race, $10,000 grand prize raffle, 1,000 family flea market, book tent, food, soda, beer tent, bingo, all-you-can-eat beef dinner, outdoor Mass at 10 a.m. Sunday, and much more.
Watertown Catholic Festival July 15-16 to feature world-renowned guitarist
WATERTOWN — The 2017 Watertown Catholic Festival takes place July 15-16 at Riverside Park. Watertown Catholic welcomes world-renowned guitarist Daryl Stuermer and his band performing Phil Collins and Genesis hits on Saturday at 8 p.m., the “Fifth Quarter” UW-Madison Marching Band on Sunday at 3:30 p.m., and Cold Sweat and the Brew City Horns on Saturday at 12 noon.
In addition to free admission, there will be over $10,000 in cash raffle prizes, a Bucky Badger prize package, silent auction and raffle items, bingo, bean bag tournaments, children’s carnival games, and an array of food and beverage items, including the famous chicken dinner on Sunday. No carry-ins of food and beverage is allowed.
Day Festival to be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary School in Monona
MONONA — On Memorial Day weekend, Immaculate Heart of Mary (IHM) Catholic Church and School in Monona will be hosting a “Backyard Bash,” a community celebration to help kick off summer.
The event will be held behind IHM School, located three blocks west of the Monona Golf Course at 4913 Schofield St. The festival begins on Sunday, May 28, and continues on Monday, May 29, following the Monona Memorial Day parade.
