Pontifical Mass at the Throne on August 22
MONONA — On Tuesday, Aug. 22, at 6 p.m., at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Monona, His Excellency Robert C. Morlino, Bishop of Madison, will celebrate a Pontifical Mass at the Throne for the traditional Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
The Mass will be in the Roman Rite’s older, traditional form, sometimes called the “Extraordinary Form.” The music will be in Gregorian chant and Renaissance polyphony, with motets and hymns, including:
Mass to be celebrated at historic St. Philip Church
HIGHLAND — In honor of the Feast of St. Philip, Fr. Jim Murphy has scheduled a Mass on Sunday, May 7, at 1 p.m. in the historic 1888 St. Philip Church.
During the Mass, the many supporters who have died will be remembered. Prayers of thanksgiving will be offered for all volunteers whose work contributes to the preservation of the church.
There will be a light potluck luncheon in the lower level after the Mass; congregants are asked to bring snacks, beverages, and desserts to share.

MADISON — On Monday, March 20, at the chapel of Holy Name Heights (Bishop O’Connor Center), His Excellency Robert C. Morlino, Bishop of Madison, celebrated a Pontifical Mass at the Throne for the transferred Feast of St. Joseph.
The Mass was in the Roman Rite’s older, traditional form, sometimes called the “Extraordinary Form.” The music was in Latin, in Gregorian chant and Renaissance polyphony, with two hymns in English for the entrance and the recessional.

MADISON — Bishop Robert C. Morlino will celebrate a Solemn Pontifical Mass on Friday, July 1, Feast of the Most Precious Blood of Our Lord, at 7 p.m., in the chapel of Holy Name Heights located in the Bishop O’Connor Center, 702 S. High Point Rd.
This Mass will be offered for the intention of suffering and persecuted Christians around the globe.
Monona parish to hold Divine Mercy celebration
MONONA — A celebration of the Feast of Divine Mercy will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Monona on Sunday, April 3, beginning at 2:30 p.m.
The liturgy will include Eucharistic Adoration, blessing of the Divine Mercy image, the Divine Mercy chaplet (sung), Litany of the Saints, recitation of the Rosary, the Divine Mercy Litany, and benediction.
