Sr. Catherine Harrington, OP, died October 9, 2016, at St. Dominic Villa. Her religious name was Sr. Martinelle. The funeral Mass was held in the Gathering Place chapel at Sinsinawa October 12, followed by burial in the Motherhouse Cemetery.

Blessed Sacrament Parish hosts evening prayer and lecture
MADISON — Blessed Sacrament Parish will host evening prayer and a lecture to commemorate the Feast of St. Catherine of Siena on Sunday, May 4, at 7 p.m.
The lecture, “The Joy of the Gospel and the Baptismal Vocation: The Witness of Catherine of Siena,” will be presented by Sr. Mary Catherine Hilkert, O.P., professor of theology at the University of Notre Dame.
Sr. Mary Catherine Baadte, OP (Matthia), dies
SINSINAWA — Sr. Mary Catherine Baadte, OP (Matthia), died April 17, 2012, at St. Dominic Villa, Hazel Green, Wis. The funeral Mass was held in Queen of the Rosary Chapel at Sinsinawa April 20, 2012, followed by burial in the Motherhouse Cemetery.
Sister Mary Catherine made her first religious profession as a Sinsinawa Dominican Aug. 5, 1940, and her final profession Aug. 5, 1943. She taught for 31 years and tutored for three years. Sister Mary Catherine taught religious education for eight years and served in various support staff positions for 14 years. She served in Wisconsin, South Dakota, California, Illinois, Minnesota, Nebraska, Iowa, and Texas.
School Sister of St. Francis Catherine Guzy, dies
MILWAUKEE — School Sister of St. Francis Catherine Guzy, 87, who served as a teacher, school principal, and an insurance agent, died January 17, 2012, at Sacred Heart Convent, Milwaukee. The daughter of Charles and Margaret Guzy, she was born April 21, 1924, in Pana, Illinois. She was received into the School Sisters of St. Francis June 13, 1941; made her first profession of vows June 21, 1943; and final (perpetual) vows June 21, 1949.
