BARABOO — St. Joseph Parish, Baraboo, will again celebrate the beautiful and peaceful Tenebrae service on Good Friday, April 19, at 7:30 p.m. Tenebrae, which means “shadows” in Latin, dates to the ancient Church.
The service incorporates light, music, Scripture, and prayer to focus on Jesus’ passion: his betrayal, abandonment, and agony. The Passion narrative is told in readings, followed by Scripture and a musical reflection.Tag: Baraboo
Daughters of Isabella to hold open house in Baraboo
BARABOO — The Daughters of Isabella Our Lady of Fatima Circle 834 will hold an open house for Catholic women ages 16 and up on Monday, April 15, at 6:30 p.m. at St. Joseph Parish in the Martha and Mary Hall (church basement). An elevator is available.
The Daughters of Isabella is accepting new members. BARABOO — On Saturday, Feb. 9, all men are invited to the 13th Annual Men’s Retreat hosted by St. Joseph Parish and titled, “Through the Flames”.
Fr. John Sasse will be the featured speaker. The retreat will be held at Durward’s Glen.

BARABOO — Catholic Charities Madison is continuing to financially assist recent flood impacted households in South Central Wisconsin.
On September 27, Catholic Charities distributed 101 gift cards to households in Dane County facing the challenges of recovery from August flooding. Residents of Cross Plains, Mazomanie, Black Earth, and Belleville were able to use the funds to defray their own personal expenses.
Diocesan Choir to sing in Baraboo
BARABOO — The Madison Diocesan Choir will join with the St. Joseph Choir to provide the music ministry for Mass on Saturday evening, Oct. 27, at 4 p.m. The church is located at 300 2nd St. in Baraboo. All are invited.
