Why would you take a day to learn about life issues and stand in Chicago’s Federal Plaza listening to speakers like Pat McCaskey, co-owner of the Chicago Bears? What can he tell you about valuing life? Do you feel you have heard the pro-life message and not much more can be said?
Would you be surprised to learn that abortions are declining? That young people are more pro-life? That pregnancy centers far outnumber abortion clinics? These are causes for hope, but we need to press for greater justice!

As we wait, in these darkening days of winter, for the joyous coming of the birth of Jesus, do you ever ponder that millions eagerly await this celebration? And yet, less than a month after we celebrate His birth, we face the disturbing commemoration of Roe v. Wade and the death of millions upon millions of unborn babies.
Shining a light on injustice
How do we hold both truths in our hearts? We honor Jesus in our quiet Advent anticipation, and we celebrate Christmas with friends and family. That gives us strength to face the sorrows and struggles in life. As we enjoy the bright, gleaming lights of Christmas, let’s also plan to shine a light on the injustice of abortion.
Marches and rallies happen because they are not just a single day of inspiration, but because they offer a deep affirmation that we are creating a more just world. Be part of thousands of people standing respectfully, listening intently, and praying fervently for a peaceful change to one of the most unjust laws of our nation.
It is energizing to be part of so many people peacefully assembled, exercising our rights to free assembly and free speech and doing it, not to benefit ourselves but to support the right to life of all. How impressive is it that after 44 years, people across our whole country still continue to gather, march, and stand for life? Will you be one of them?
Take a stand for life
Several groups are sponsoring a bus to the Chicago March for Life on Sunday, January 14, 2018. (Details at right.)
