CALAMINE — St. Michael Parish in Calamine was established in November of 1916.
St. Michael Parish merged with four other parishes on July 12, 2015, to become Our Lady of Fatima Parish.
The long-standing members of St. Michael’s decided a 100-year celebration was in order to commemorate the history of St. Michael Church.
A celebratory Mass will be held Sunday, Sept. 18, at 10:30 a.m. Immediately following Mass, a luncheon will be served at the Pat and January Meylor home, 17359 CR G, just up the hill to the east of the church grounds.Anyone entering St. Michael Church will enjoy the quaint country atmosphere and beautiful stained glass windows. All are invited to share fellowship and stories, past and present. For those not able to attend the 10:30 Mass, the meal should be served around 12 noon.
