MADISON — During the holiday season, we all know it feels better to give than receive. This year hundreds in the Madison area and beyond have opened their hearts to St. Mary’s Lights of Love program.
The annual program allows people to purchase red or white LED lights in honor of a special person in their life or the memory of a loved one. Then, during a special lighting ceremony on Sunday, Dec. 4, at 4 p.m., they’re able to bask in the warm loving glow they helped create.
Anyone in the world may take part in the ceremony. Go to www.stmarysmadison.com on Sunday, Dec. 4, after 6 p.m. and click on the “Lights of Love” icon. Then, turn up the speakers and enjoy a front row seat. This will be particularly important to family members who purchased lights for loved ones serving overseas, as it will allow them to close the distance gap and take part in the ceremony as well.
