SPRING GREEN — St. John the Evangelist School has sparkling new windows thanks to generous parish members who contributed to St. John’s Capital Campaign.
These beautiful eight foot tall windows are making the classrooms shine bright.
These classrooms will shine even more when the “bright” students of St. John’s come back to school this fall.
New educational programs
This year, the experienced teachers of St. John will be able to utilize new award-winning educational programs including Freckle Math, myON News and Literature, and Generation Genius science lessons to enrich their students’ education.
Students will be able to do hands-on activities using new Clevertouch interactive displays, which were also purchased through generous donations.
The Clevertouch also gives access to many different apps that can assist in teaching a specific concept at an appropriate grade level.
Looking ahead to next year
St. John School plans to be open five days a week, as recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics, from 7:45 a.m. to 3:10 p.m. for all students in 4K through fifth grade.
St. John has large classrooms with small class sizes allowing for proper social distancing.
New this year, St. John will also be providing before and after school care making it more convenient for parents to drop off and pick up their children each day.
All classes will be kept small ensuring the safety and academic success for all of our students.
