DARLINGTON — On Thursday, Dec. 12, Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Darlington held a Spanish Mass honoring Our Lady of Guadalupe.
The Mass was concelebrated by Fr. John Bosco Pudhota of Holy Rosary and Fr. William Friere of San Damiano Center, Madison.
About 175 people were in attendance, including many children of all ages. The music was energetic and emotional, the dancers were wonderful, and the food afterwards was incredible: homemade tamales, sopa, tacos, pork, sweet bread, tres leches cake, and more.
Spanish Masses are regularly held at Holy Rosary in Darlington at 6:30 p.m. on the first and third Saturdays of each month.
The Spanish Christmas Mass will be at 1:30 p.m. on Christmas Day, Wednesday, Dec. 25. All are welcome.
