MONONA — More than 50 underprivileged children on the island of Cebu, Philippines, are learning the basics of music and are aspiring to be able one day to play in a school orchestra.
This will allow them to possibly win scholarships to higher education opportunities.
Would you like to support these children?
The Sisters of Mary Morning Star in Monona are collecting orchestra instruments (violins, cellos, violas, flutes, clarinets, saxophones, trumpets, French horns, trombones, and accessories).
The Sisters have an opportunity to ship these instruments within a few weeks.
If you have any instruments you could donate to this project, you can drop them off in the narthex of the Sisters of Mary Morning Star Chapel, 4905 Schofield St., Monona.
