DANE COUNTY — People age 60 and older in Dane County are about to receive a wealth of knowledge at their fingertips as the Dane County Agency on Aging, along with St. Mary’s Hospital, release their biennial Over 60 Resource Directory. The directory, which contains more than 100 pages, points out the services, programs, and housing opportunities for those in their golden years of life.
“This is such a great way for us to give back to the community,” says St. Mary’s Hospital Golden Care and Major Events Coordinator, Janet Adams. “Dane County has a wide range of services available to its over 60 population and to have them all listed in one book, makes these programs that much more accessible.”
More than 10,000 of the Over 60 Resource Directory have been published and are now available for free at all Dane County libraries. In addition, the directory is available online at the Dane County Agency on Aging Web site www.co.dane.wi.us/aging/ under “Information and Assistance.”
The Over 60 Resource Directory has been helping Dane County residents get in touch with the programs and services available to them for the past 35 years. It’s a collaboration between the Area Agency on Aging, United Way 2-1-1, the Dane County Library System, St. Mary’s Hospital, Dean Health System, and the Dean Health Plan.
