MADISON — The Seat of Wisdom Diocesan Institute is a program in the Diocese of Madison that offers interested adults an opportunity to come and learn more about the Catholic faith in a systematic and comprehensive manner.
It is an opportunity to study the basic pillars of the faith along with other indepth theological studies.
Beginning this month, we have a new schedule of courses available at the Bishop O’Connor Center along with coursework available in various locations around the Diocese.
This year we are offering:• A continued study with Abbot Marcel Rooney on The Theology and History of the Mass each month from October to May.
• Courses entitled The Word of God Revealed Among Us, which will reflect on the humanity of Jesus, including a reflection on his Sacred Heart.
• Courses entitled The Human Person Created and Graced, which reflect on our understanding of human existence, based on St. John Paul II’s Theology of the Body.
• Finally, we are offering our Core Basic Curriculum beginning on October 10 that covers the four pillars of the Catechism, including courses on Sacred Scripture, the Creed, Life in Christ, and Christian Prayer.
All are welcome and encouraged to attend.
