ST. LOUIS — The St. Ambrose Academy (SAA) Model UN team had great success in St. Louis, Mo., at the Washington University Model United Nations Symposium.
The recently formed St. Ambrose Delegation won best small delegation, which is the highest award they could have received, coming out ahead of a number of other experienced teams.
Individually, Justin Hineline won best delegate as Nechirvan Idris Barzani on the Formation of Kurdistan committee; Matt Marsland won outstanding delegate as Bane on the Ministry of Magic committee; Michael Mills won honorable mention as the Brazilian Ambassador to Portugal on the Joint Crisis: Triple Alliance Committee; and Kate Wells did a fantastic job as George Bovet on the Swiss Federal Council.
We are so proud of our award- winning delegation!
The SAA team will be competing at the Lyons Township Model UN in February and Model UN Illinois in March.
In addition, Matt Marsland, Secretary General of the SAA team, will be representing St. Ambrose as an individual delegate at Harvard Model UN and Washington Area Model UN Conference.
