REEDSBURG — To support local growers and to educate the public about sustainably-grown and locally produced foods, the Justice and Peace Commission of Diocesan Cluster 350 is holding its fourth annual “Food Fair and Farmers’ Market” on Saturday, March 8, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Sacred Heart School Gym, corner of 6th and Willow Sts.
There will be a gym full of vendors with everything from beef, pork, and lamb to vegetables, mushrooms, seeds, preserves, cheese, bakery goods, maple syrup, honey, candy, and more. Visit the information tables about gardening, farming, CSAs, preserving, and meet the growers and producers. The latest local producers’ pamphlet is also available to help search for great local foods year-round. Take advantage of the many tables with experts available to answer your questions.There will be short information sessions so you can get a quick concentrated course on a number of topics including: how to raise meat, cost analysis of good food, worm composting, and seeds.
