WAUNAKEE — St. John’s Piecemakers Quilt Club of Waunakee will hosts its 16th annual “Quilting through the Ages” quilt show on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 28 and 29, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at St. John School gym, 114 E. Third St.
Among the many quilts displayed will be an applique quilt exhibit by Alice Schutz along with quilts that will be donated to local charities.
There will be a silent auction and a quilt sale benefitting the Waunakee Food Pantry. Luncheon will be served by the Ashton Go-Getters 4-H Club.
Bed turning of antique quilts will be held at 9:30, 10:30, and 11:30 a.m. and 12:30, 1:30, and 2:30 p.m. each day.There will also be six quilting vendors. Admission to the show is $3.
This year’s raffle quilt — Tropical Dream — is made with batiks in light green, royal blue, and mixed purple/pink colors.
Proceeds of the raffle are donated to the St. John School Endowment Fund.
The raffle drawing will be held on December 19, 2016, at 7:30 p.m. at St. John’s Gathering Room, 209 South St.
