MADISON — Everyone is invited to join in a gathering to celebrate and offer prayers for Bishop Robert C. Morlino and his brother priests of the Diocese of Madison.
This prayer vigil will be held on Sunday, Oct. 26, at 1 p.m. at St. Patrick Church, 404 E. Main St. in Madison. It will be followed by a reception in the church gathering space.
Organizers of the vigil say it is an opportunity for Catholics to support the bishop and priests and give thanks for their service to the Church. People are also asked to invite their priests to attend the vigil.
Priesthood Sunday is a special day set aside to honor priesthood in the United States. The nationwide event is coordinated by the USA Council of Serra International, an organization of lay men and women whose mission is to foster and affirm Church vocations.
For the Madison prayer vigil, an RSVP is requested for priests only to djy@yankehome.com
