Consider taking advantage of a free opportunity which will assist those suffering from mental illness and also educate all about their suffering.
The Sanctuary Course for Catholics will be presented as a Zoom online course beginning on Monday, May 9, at 6 p.m. and is being offered to the entire diocese. This eight-session course on consecutive Monday nights requires no previous training or expertise.
The sessions are accompanied by compelling films that feature the stories of Catholics living with mental health challenges, along with the insights of archbishops, theologians, and psychologists.
A recording of the session will be emailed to all registrants and the films can be found on formed.org
This course will help those interested in learning more about mental health issues, those supporting loved ones with mental health problems, or those currently living with mental health illnesses.
This course is endorsed by Bishop Donald J. Hying of Madison in responding to his focus on developing stronger parish-based mental health ministry and resources throughout the diocese.
To register for the class and receive the downloaded coursebook and Zoom link, email info@catholicmhm.org with your preferred email address, name, and parish.
