SINSINAWA — Dominican Sister Marie Ralph Braun died September 1 at St. Dominic Villa, Sinsinawa. The Mass of Resurrection was held in Queen of the Rosary Chapel at Sinsinawa September 4, followed by burial in the Motherhouse Cemetery.
Sister Marie Ralph was born May 4, 1921, in Chicago. Sister Marie Ralph made her first religious profession as a Sinsinawa Dominican October 5, 1943, and her final profession December 26, 1946. Her ministry spanned 49 years, many of which challenged her culinary arts skills, while others called forth her generous spirit of assisting wherever she could. Sr. Marie Ralph retired to the Motherhouse in 1997. She served in Wisconsin, Nebraska, South Dakota, Illinois, and Minnesota. In the Diocese of Madison, Sr. Marie Ralph was a culinary artist at St. Clara Convent, Sinsinawa, from 1943 to 1944.
