SINSINAWA — Dominican Sister Timon Fritsch died December 12, 2007, at Mercy Medical Center, Dubuque, Iowa. The Mass of Resurrection was held in Queen of the Rosary Chapel at Sinsinawa December 14, 2007, followed by burial in the Motherhouse Cemetery.
Sister Timon was born July 6, 1923, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Anthony and Ann (Phair) Fritsch. Sister Timon made her first religious profession as a Sinsinawa Dominican August 5, 1943, and her final profession August 5, 1946. She ministered for 58 years as an elementary teacher, Learning Center director, and school volunteer. She served in Illinois, Nebraska, Minnesota, Colorado, and Wisconsin. Sister Timon moved to the Motherhouse in 2001. In the Diocese of Madison, Sister Timon taught at Sacred Heart, Reedsburg, 1969-1972; and Queen of Peace, Madison, 1972-1975.
