CAMPBELLSPORT — School Sister of St. Francis Marie Therese Kluthe (Wanda) died May 8, 2011 at St. Joseph Convent in Campbellsport, Wis.
The daughter of Conrad and Anna Kluthe, she was born July 16, 1919 in Olean, Neb. She was received into the School Sisters of St. Francis June 13, 1935 and made first profession of vows August 12, 1937 and final (perpetual) vows August 8, 1943.
Sister Marie Therese is survived by her sister Elizabeth Ernesti, her nieces School Sister of St. Francis Bernice Gall and School Sister of St. Francis Kathleen Kluthe, other nieces and nephews; friends, and the School Sisters of St. Francis.
Sister Marie Therese lived her religious ministry in Wisconsin and Illinois. In the Diocese of Madison, Sister served as infant research assistant at the University of Wisconsin in Madison (1973-1975). She served in early childhood development ministry in Madison (1975-1978, 1980-1998) and in Middleton (1978-1980). Sister served in elder care in Madison (1998-2004).
A wake and Funeral Mass took place on May 12, 2011 at St. Joseph Convent in Campbellsport, Wis. Burial followed at Sisters’ Cemetery in Campbellsport, Wis.
