CAMPBELLSPORT — School Sister of St. Francis Lucille Goeden died April 16, 2011 at St. Joseph Convent in Campbellsport, Wis.
The daughter of Michael and Lucy Ann Goeden, she was born January 7, 1919 in Dane, Wis. She was received into the School Sisters of St. Francis June 13, 1935 and made first profession of vows August 12, 1937 and final (perpetual) vows August 8, 1943.
Sister Lucille lived her religious ministry in health care in Wisconsin. In the Diocese of Madison, Sister served as RN in the following places: Methodist Hospital in Madison (1973-1977), Upjohn Homemakers in Madison (1977-1981), Dane County Health Care Services in Madison (1981-1982), Wisconsin Cheese in Sun Prairie (1982-1984), private duty nurse in Madison (1984-1993), and in home nursing in Waunakee (1993-2002).
Sister Lucille is survived by nieces, nephews, friends, and the School Sisters of St. Francis.
A wake and Funeral Mass was to take place on April 20, 2011 at St. Joseph Convent in Campbellsport, Wis. Burial was to follow at Sisters’ Cemetery in Campbellsport, Wis.
