CROSS PLAINS — Students at St. Francis Xavier School in Cross Plains recently got a chance to show off their football skills.
Members of the Green Bay Packers organization came out to the school for the NFL Play60 program — which encourages students to be active at least 60 minutes a day. It’s all about “trying to promote healthy living and staying active,” said Tim Schroeder, youth football coordinator for the Packers.
The students had a chance to participate in passing, running, kicking, and receiving drills. They also got some tips from volunteer coaches, including former Badger offensive lineman Ryan Groy — currently on the roster of the Chicago Bears.
The students had a fun time doing all of the activities; they had a hard time picking which one was their favorite.
