LODI — Over 40 years have passed since the first translation of the Mass into English was issued. Much has changed in that time — including the ability to understand, articulate, and translate the words used during the Eucharist.
Dr. Patrick Gorman, director of the Office of Worship for the Diocese of Madison, will speak on Saturday, March 26, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at St. Patrick Church, 521 Fair St., Lodi, to help us grow in our understanding and appreciation of the changes that are coming with the English translation of the Third Edition of the Roman Missal.
These changes will be implemented in the U.S. in all parishes with the First Sunday of Advent, Nov. 27. Dr. Gorman, in his engaging, informative, and reasonable style, will delve into the “what, the why, and the how” of the changes coming.
All are welcomed and encouraged to attend this presentation. Questions may be directed to the parish faith formation office by phone at 608-592-5711, ext. 3.
