BELMONT — The Grant Vicariate will host the 59th annual convention of the Madison Diocesan Council of Catholic Women (MDCCW) Tuesday and Wednesday, June 18 and 19, at the Belmont Inn and Suites Convention Center here. The theme is “Uniting Women of Faith.”
Keynote speaker will be Jeffrey Arrowood of From the Abbey. His keynote will be “Take Control of Your Life,” during which he will offer “ways for women to use their time to know God, to love Him, and to serve Him.”
In the afternoon, Arrowood will lead a spirituality and leadership workshop on “Live the Glory — Evangelization during this Year of Faith.”
Following his session, Grant County social worker Dani Goodman will give a workshop on foster care. In conjunction with the workshop, the MDCCW Service Commission is collecting backpacks and items for children in foster care.
The first day of the conference, Tuesday, will be the board meeting, followed by social hour, banquet, and entertainment. Wednesday will be the annual business meeting, followed by a concelebrated Mass, lunch, the afternoon workshops, and closing prayer.
All Catholic women of the diocese are invited to attend and may join MDCCW as an individual member for $10. Registration fee for the conference is $30 for the first day and $35 for the second day and includes meals.
