MADISON — During the Year of Mercy, the St. Thomas Aquinas Parish community is holding events to encourage awareness of mercy — both as a gift given and a gift received.
Each month, the parish is focusing on one or two of the Works of Mercy. For February, the focus is to feed the hungry and give drink to the thirsty.
On Tuesday, Feb. 9, the parish will host a Mardi Gras celebration that allows people to be both givers and recipients of these merciful works.
For $15 per person and a donation of canned goods, you are invited to join the parish for a Cajun meal (provided by Culinary Creations Catering of the Catholic Multicultural Center), plenty of King Cake, and live music by one of the Midwest’s premier Cajun music bands, the Cajun Strangers.
Only 150 tickets are available. Make a reservation by contacting Jennifer Ludtke at 608-833-2606 or jennifer@stamadison.org
