LA CROSSE — Bishop Robert C. Morlino, bishop of the Diocese of Madison, will be administering the sacrament of Confirmation in the Diocese of La Crosse on three separate occasions this spring.
He, along with Bishop William H. Bullock, bishop emeritus of the Diocese of Madison, and Bishop Bernard J. Harrington, bishop emeritus of the Diocese of Winona, Minn., are assisting the Diocese of La Crosse with its Confirmations given the appointment of Archbishop Jerome Listecki, former bishop of the Diocese of La Crosse, as archbishop of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee.
Bishop Morlino commented, “I am so very grateful for the opportunity to help our neighboring diocese in La Crosse — as I know Bishop Bullock is too. It is a beautiful witness to the unity, universality, and apostolic nature of our Church that we bishops would be able to assist in bringing the great graces of the Holy Spirit to these young people. As I go to assist our brothers and sisters, let us all continue to pray for them and to the Holy Spirit, as they await the appointment of their new shepherd.”
