MADISON — At their November meeting, members of the Madison Catholic Woman’s Club kicked off support this year for the Society of St. Vincent de Paul-Madison Little Drummer Project.
The Little Drummer Project provides Christmas gifts for the children of about 200 Dane County families in need each year who have had a home visit from one of the local St. Vincent de Paul conferences.
Club members donated money or purchased gift cards for designated stores and supplemented the gift cards with an array of stuffed animals to brighten the children’s Christmas celebrations.
The Madison Catholic Woman’s Club unites women in religious, charitable, and civic responsibilities and activities. The club has provided financial and prayer support to the Madison Society of St. Vincent de Paul for more than 20 years.
“We remain grateful for the generosity of the Madison Catholic Woman’s Club members for their support of this project and the other work we do in the community to provide food, medicine, housing, and more to neighbors in need,” said Ernie Stetenfeld, St. Vincent de Paul-Madison CEO and Executive Director.
“I’m heartened that many children will enjoy Christmas more because of their kindness.”
