MADISON — During this holiday season, St. Mary’s Hospital is inviting community members to remember and honor their loved ones, friends, and neighbors through the St. Mary’s Lights of Love Program.
The program allows people to purchase an LED light in honor of a special person or in memory of a loved one. As in years past, red lights indicate a living tribute and white lights honor the memory of a loved one. For the second year, blue lights will honor or remember those who serve our country.
During a lighting ceremony on December 6, community members were able to see the warm loving glow they helped create. This year nearly 7,000 lights will brighten the gardens of St. Mary’s, sending a message of love and caring to those looking out their hospital windows or just passing by.People can purchase a single light, a string of lights, or an entire tree through December 24 by contacting the St. Mary’s volunteer office or by mailing the order form available at www.stmarysmadison.com/Documents/Lights of Love 2015.pdf
Proceeds from the program benefit St. Mary’s patients, families, and the community. Funds raised will support NICU families by funding the purchase of AngelEye technology, a special emergency transport isolation unit, and more.
