To the editor:
During President Obama’s commencement address at Notre Dame University, he said he and the Catholic Church were at an impasse. He claims that a woman should have the right to have an innocent and defenseless human being killed — a right no other member of a civilized society has.
The Catholic Church, on the other hand, recognizes the sanctity of human life and maintains that this defenseless baby’s right to life is an absolute right that should not be compromised.
How could anyone in their right mind say that President Obama is right and the Church wrong?
