BARABOO — St. Joseph Parish, 300 2nd St., Baraboo, will be hosting a Lenten parish mission from Sunday, March 19, to Wednesday, March 22, based on John 6:33: “The Bread of God is that which comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”
Fr. Herald Brock, CFR, will be speaking Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday evenings at 7 p.m. in the church.
He will repeat these talks in the church on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday mornings at 9:30 a.m. beginning with praying the Rosary.
Father Brock’s talk titles are “I Am With You: Presence and Communion,” “The Lamb Who Was Slain: Sacrifice and Suffering,” and “Food for the Journey: Hope and Heaven.”
On Wednesday evening there will be a communal penance service beginning at 7 p.m.

Father Brock joined the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal in 1988 and was ordained a priest in 1994.
As a missionary in Honduras, he established the St. Benedict Joseph Free Medical Center for the Poor and Casa Guadalupe Missionary Center, and in Sudan built the House of Mercy Spiritual Center.
Father Brock has preached throughout the U.S. and has traveled to more than 30 nations, mostly in the developing world.
