SAUK CITY — St. Aloysius Parish in Sauk City is joining efforts in Madison and around the world by involving students and parishioners in various pro-life opportunities during the Lenten season which begins on Wednesday, March 9.
Canada, England, Ireland, Australia, Spain, Georgia, Armenia, and Belize as well as 247 cities around the nation will be participating in 40 Days for Life from Wednesday, March 9, to Sunday, April 17. Madison has embarked on an even more ambitious initiative with 365 for Life, which involves a prayerful perpetual presence outside the Planned Parenthood clinic on 3706 Orin Rd.
This effort has never been attempted before in Madison and is meeting with resounding success. Lives are being saved.

Activities in Sauk City
St. Aloysius Parish is promoting 365 Days for Life prayer vigil at Planned Parenthood, encouraging prayer and fasting by using commitment cards, and hosting special prayer opportunities for all who wish to join together in prayer. The dates include:
- Sunday, March 20, at 10:10 a.m. — Pro-Life Rosary in church with St. Aloysius Middle School Youth Group
- Wednesday, March 23, at 6:30 p.m. — Pro-Life Stations of the Cross in church with St. Aloysius High School Youth Group
- Friday, April 15, 8:45 a.m. — Pro-Life Stations of the Cross in church with St. Aloysius School students
One mother shared her thankfulness for the prayers. “I cannot thank you and others like you enough for standing up for what you believe in, because if it had not been for you, I may have made a horrible decision and terminated my pregnancy. My girl is my entire world . . . I can assure you that me and my daughter are proof of the power that you all have. Please do not stop what you are doing.”
