JANESVILLE — Sr. Lucentia Klonecki, the pastoral minister at St. Patrick Parish in Janesville for 31 years, is retiring.
St. Patrick Parish will honor Sister Lucentia at an open house brunch to be held at St. Patrick School auditorium on Sunday, Sept. 20, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. All are invited to come and visit with Sister Lucentia.
“No one has served our parish so wholeheartedly and selflessly as Sister Lucentia,” said Fr. Jim Kuhn, pastor, in a message to parishioners announcing her retirement.
“Nor has anyone served our St. Patrick Parish for as many years as Sister has. Sister’s loving presence and total commitment to her ministry and to our parishioners are deeply appreciated and she will be greatly missed, but she will always also be fondly remembered.”
She plans to return to her motherhouse in Stevens Point, where she will continue her ministry to the sick Sisters in the order’s infirmary.
